Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

NairaDecoded is free to read because it is supported by advertising, sponsorships and affiliate partnerships. This page explains how that works.

How we make money

  • Display advertising — ads served on our pages, which may be served by third-party ad networks.
  • Sponsorships — brands may sponsor specific content or newsletter sections. Sponsored content is always labelled as sponsored.
  • Affiliate partnerships — some links to financial products, banking apps, insurance providers, investment platforms or remittance services may be affiliate links. If you sign up or take an action through one of these links, NairaDecoded may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Our independence commitment

  • Advertisers and affiliate partners do not see, approve, or influence editorial content before it is published.
  • A financial product being mentioned or reviewed is never guaranteed a positive review because it advertises with us or pays an affiliate commission.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage, and we do not accept payment to remove or alter factual, critical coverage.
  • Where a commercial relationship exists with a company we are writing about, we disclose it in the article.

How to tell what’s sponsored

Sponsored posts and branded content are labelled clearly (for example, "Sponsored" or "In partnership with") at the top of the article. If you don’t see a label, the content was not paid for.
